Questions partners ask
When do I get paid?
Each commission is on hold for 7 days after the client pays. Then you withdraw it to your Mobile Money number from your dashboard, once you have at least 5,000 RWF.
How long does a referral last?
When someone opens your link, we remember it for 30 days. Once their company signs up, it stays yours, and you earn on each renewal while you remain a partner.
Do I need to use Shaka myself?
No. A partner account is free and separate from company email. You only need an email address and a Mobile Money number.
Can I refer my own company?
No. Payments from your own company or your own account do not earn a commission.
What if a client gets a refund?
The commission for that payment is cancelled, as long as it has not been paid out yet.
Is tax taken from my earnings?
Partners are paid as independent contractors. We withhold 15% income tax from each payout and pay it to RRA, as Rwandan law requires, unless you show us that you are registered with RRA and have filed your latest income tax declaration. We may ask for your full legal name and ID or TIN before paying you.
